AI Assistant Settings

Learn how Slideform AI artifacts work and how to configure organization context, writing guidelines, branding profiles, themes, and AI backend settings.

AI Assistant Artifacts, Settings, and Themes

Slideform AI does more than generate a final chart or summary. It also produces supporting artifacts and gives you settings that control how outputs look and behave.

This article explains:
- what AI artifacts are
- how to use AI Assistant settings
- how branding profiles and themes affect outputs

Did you know you can connect your own AI API key to Slideform? This allows you to use the model of your choice and pay the model provider directly for your AI usage.

What are AI artifacts?

Artifacts are the generated items and supporting outputs created during an AI workflow.

Depending on the request, artifacts may include:

- charts
- tables
- text summaries
- email templates
- research results
- presentations and templates

Artifacts are helpful because they make AI workflows more transparent and reusable. In many cases, you can inspect the output, reuse it in follow-up work, or save it as part of a repeatable workflow.

Organization and Team Information

This section gives the AI more background about your company and team.

You can configure things like:
- organization name
- industry
- description
- products and services
- target audience
- headquarters
- key values
- team name
- team focus

You can also research your organization from a website URL to help prefill this information.

Why this matters:

- the AI can respond with better business context
- summaries can be more relevant to your audience
- researched brand colors can help seed branding settings

Writing Guidelines

Writing Guidelines let you create writing profiles that capture voice, tone, and structure.

This is useful when AI-generated summaries, research outputs, or templates should align with:

- your company voice
- a team reporting style
- a client communication style

You can build a writing profile from one or more URLs and use that profile to guide future outputs.

Analysis Guidelines

For charts and tables, analysis branding profiles help control the visual theme used by the assistant.

This can include:

- color choices
- visual style
- presentation-readiness
- default branding behavior for saved outputs

Use these when you want AI-generated charts and tables to look consistent across reports.

To apply a Brand Profile to a specific Assistant, open the Assistant, then select the Brand Profile from the Profiles dropdown.

Email Template Branding

Email branding settings help keep AI-generated email templates visually consistent.

This is useful if your team uses the Email Template Assistant and wants consistent output across campaigns or client communications.

Presentation Template Branding

Presentation branding settings define the look and feel of outputs created with the Presentation Template Assistant.

You can extract a theme from an existing presentation deck by uploading the PPTX or linking the Google Slides here.
