[Getting started](https://helpcenter.slideform.co/getting-started?hsLang=en) # How to Generate a Presentation with Slideform ## Learn how to create custom presentations and reports once your automation project is set up. **What is Slideform?** Slideform is an AI-enabled automation platform that links data from databases and dashboards to reports, slides, and documents. You use your own custom report template, and Slideform fills in the data. Automation is especially useful for reports that you create on a recurring basis each month or week. Before you create reports, [project setup](https://slideform.co/blog/post/getting-started-with-slideform?hsLang=en) must be complete. An account Admin or Editor must connect the data source, upload a report template, and link data to the template. Once the project is ready, all Slideform user roles can generate the presentation or report. ### How to generate output from Slideform **1. Log into Slideform** at https://app.slideform.co . Navigate to the Projects page** This is the home page within Slideform. Each project is represented by a card showing a template preview and a description. Projects can be organized into [folders](https://helpcenter.slideform.co/organize-projects-into-folders?hsLang=en) and can be visible to members of specific [User Teams](https://helpcenter.slideform.co/manage-users-and-teams?hsLang=en). Click Generate and provide input** To generate a presentation or report, click **Generate** on the project card.  On the next screen, you will be prompted to provide any information that is needed to complete the report. This could include selecting the date range, setting filters, or filling in other information necessary to construct the report. Processing** Once you answer all the questions, a progress meter will show you that the system is working, and a results preview may appear unless your project has disabled previews. Results** To **Save the output,** select the output format under **Get Final Results**. The output formats depend on the type of project template that is set up. The presentation or report will be available to view or download from the **Results** section of the Projects page and it may also be sent to a connected Google Drive or other cloud storage.
